The Grand Tetons In The Background

Our morning started with our usual breakfast routine and breaking down camp. This is our last day in Yellowstone. I left camp a little early to see the waterfalls Henry and Layla saw the day before. They call this the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, which is beautiful and powerful. After lathering up with sunscreen, we head out. We have an impressive tan line going these days. It was a beautiful ride along the lake, and we stopped to visit a few different hot springs. The smell of sulfur is in the air. We had a strong headwind all day long, which slowed our progress. It was a mental game for us to stay positive when wrestling a 20-mile-hour headwind.
The day's excitement came as we approached a herd of buffalo grazing right next to the road. As we passed a mom and her calf, the buffola looked at her calf, then us, and gave an angry snort. Our adrenaline was pumping. We had a nice lunch along the lake and trekked out of Yellowstone. As we approached the Grand Tetons, we saw the breathtaking view. I enjoyed this picture more than anything we saw in Yellowstone. We set up camp at Coulter Bay, right along the lake. The national parks have hiker/biker sites that don't need to be reserved. It is a nice perk since all the campgrounds are full.
As we set up camp, the park ranger visited us and said, "Are you from Ohio?" I responded, "How did you know that? "We found your wallet at the check-in." My wallet is now locked in my bike bag, only to be taken out under supervision. After dinner, we finished the evening by enjoying ice cream at the lakefront and the view of the Grand Tetons.

  1. Oh that lake view is breathtaking! Nate would agree with you. :) I was a sucker for the thermo features. Either way isn’t God so creative!

Glad the kids have taken over supervision of your wallet 😂🤣😂🤣 someone has to be responsible ;)

    Miss you guys!
