Eating lunch

Making lunch

With a delicious breakfast provided by the Cirullo family, we headed out.  It was encouraging to spend time with the Cirullo family.  Since we were fifteen miles from the central route, we needed to hustle to get back on track.  However, a road we were supposed to take had a road closed sign.  With a couple more miles added, we got even more behind schedule.   We slowly traveled uphill at a steady speed.  Once traveling back on the route, we would've finished one of the fourteen maps.
We had forgotten our maps, too, so we've been using the Transamerican app all this time. We realized we had missed it while at Denver International Airport. We immediately asked my mom to send the maps to the Cirullo family's address. Well, the package arrived an hour after we left. Thankfully, the Cirullo family was willing to drive until they caught up and delivered the maps to us. The Cirullo family caught up right after lunch.
When eating on the road, you often get really deprived of social skills and table manners.  Well, sadly, that's us.  We sliced a pepper in thirds but didn't bother to cut it anymore and ate it like a pizza slice.  We had also packed a tub of yogurt for lunch. Since the yogurt was runny enough, we slurped it out of the tub.
We made it to our host that night and started dinner to curb our growling stomachs.  We had a simple dinner using our only utensils; three sporks and three multipurpose mugs.  Later that night, we watched The Goonies because we had visited Astoria.  That night, we didn't need to sleep in the tent.  Our host, Mark, generously allowed us to stay in beds in his garage.
