Day 14 - A Chill Day (June 15th, 2024)

Some of my dad's favorite beers on tap

Dinner and dessert

My dad woke up early and was in a restaurant in downtown Grangeville.  The restaurant opened up at five and didn't close until around eight.  It was owned and run by a couple who stayed up late to make morning pastries.  My dad arrived at 6 am, and Henry and I trickled in around 9:30.

After leaving the restaurant on time, we ate a late lunch and did whatever we wanted.  Henry and my dad later went bowling, and we all met at the same restaurant in the morning for happy hour.  Henry and I had draft root beers while my dad had a

beer. After ordering dinner, the lady asked us if we wanted dessert.  We had huckleberry ice cream with our blueberry pie.  The huckleberry ice cream was delicious! We got groceries on the way back and went to bed early because we had over a hundred miles to ride the next day.  Since Grangeville was a smaller town than Sisters, Oregon, there wasn't much going on.  So, it was a very chill day.  The only sad thing was both libraries in town were closed.
